Silence of the Lambs

  The Silence of the Lambs

By Jonathan Demme, 1991

Synopsis

Clarice, a young FBI agent in training, is given the task of retrieving information about a serial killer, from an imprisioned cannibal called Dr Hannibal Lecter. Her goal is to try and find out more information about a man called Jame Gumb, more commonly known as Buffalo Bill, who has been kidnaping and killing young women. Buffalo Bill snatches these women for their skin, attempting  to create his own ‘skin suit’, in the hope that this will help him to fulfil his dream of gender transformation. Over time, and after many conversations, Dr Lecter provides Clarice with clues which lead her to uncovering Buffalo Bill’s true identity.
